01 / VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
A modern IP video system begins with cameras positioned to achieve the required field of view. Video travels over the network—often using PoE—to an on-premise recorder/VMS or a cloud platform.
The VMS manages recording, playback, user permissions, device health, analytics, alerts and investigation. Cloud systems can provide centralized management and remote access, while on-premise systems can provide local recording and control. Hybrid architectures can combine both approaches.
6D Technologies specializes in solutions using Avigilon, Pelco, Eagle Eye Networks, Axis, Hikvision and Luminys, selected according to site requirements, integration needs and operating model.
02 / ACCESS CONTROL
Access control secures a property by controlling which people can enter specific doors or areas and when they are allowed to enter. It creates an auditable record of access events and can connect with video, visitor management and other systems.
A typical transaction starts when a person presents a card, mobile credential, PIN or other approved credential. The reader sends the credential to the controller or cloud service. Rules such as user permissions, schedules and door status are checked. The system then grants or denies access and records the event.
We work with on-premise and cloud architectures including Avigilon, Brivo, Kantech and ICT, along with compatible readers, locks, controllers and integrations.
03 / INTERCOM & ENTRY
Intercom systems create a communication path between a visitor and an occupant, concierge or security team. Audio and video allow the receiving party to identify or communicate with the visitor before entry is granted.
In an IP environment, the intercom connects to the network and can integrate with access control. A call may be answered from an indoor station, desktop client or mobile device, and an authorized user can trigger a door release.
We work with Aiphone, Avigilon and Openpath and can integrate intercom/entry workflows with access control and IP infrastructure.
04 / NETWORK & INFRASTRUCTURE
Security systems increasingly depend on IP networks. Cameras, access controllers, intercoms, VMS servers and cloud-connected devices all require reliable connectivity, appropriate bandwidth, power and segmentation.
6D Technologies can coordinate structured copper and fibre cabling, PoE switching, uplinks, racks, device addressing, VLAN planning, Wi-Fi/wireless connectivity, network readiness checks, testing and documentation. We work with client IT teams and electrical contractors to make sure the infrastructure supports the security design.
